Jim Rogers: The Rogers Agricultural Index [line 66] is actually down at this time, which is the reason why I am so extremely optimistic about agriculture going forward. The situation is getting dire. There are no farmers in the world. Things are getting serious, largely because agricultural prices have been so depressed for thirty years that it has not attracted capital, labor, management, or anything else. People want to build golf courses and become stock brokers. In my view, the money is going to be in agriculture going forward because the economics have become so horrible..- in The Motley Fool

I am most optimistic about Agriculture it is extremely depressed
Jim Rogers : Well, I´m not selling my precious metals, my own precious metals. I´m just expecting them to continue to correct, and if they correct I´m going to buy more. The lower they´ll go the more I buy more and more. But I´m most optimistic about agriculture. Agriculture is extremely depressed on an annual basis. We have shortages of everything developing. Many farmers are very old. The average age of a farmer is 58. In Japan the average age of farmers is 66. In Australia the average age is 58. I mean we´ve had our share of serious, serious problems in agriculture very serious shortages developing. Agriculture is going to be one of the most exciting areas of the world economies in 10, 20, 30 years. - in El Economista

Agriculture is better investment than Gold and Silver right now
Jim Rogers : " I wouldn't buy more gold and silver right now; I might buy more agriculture,". "I don't like to jump on a moving bus," "Gold is certainly going to go to $2,000 over the years; it looks like it's going to go much higher during the course of the bull market," "Watch Bernanke and the printing presses to determine how high it will go." - in Bloomberg
